Bohren & der Club of Gore: A New Ambient Writing Rhythm!

So I’m a bit late to this band, but—thanks to the joys of YouTube recommendations—just discovered a new ambient-jazz-type group whose albums provide a palatable backdrop over which writing can occur. I take a high degree of utility from these sorts of songs b/c I often go out to a cafe to write, for whatever reason (something like perhaps the feeling of being among the people—a sensation sometimes more than a little foreign to me, what with where I am in my life and all), and I tend to use ambient or otherwise instrumental music to drown out the music blaring over the speakers of the cafe at which I am writing. Thus my recent instrumental kick, from which I’ve been posting here some of my favorite bands belonging to this typology.

So but here it is, the newest addition of bands to this list or w/h/y: Bohren & der Club of Gore—a German band whose work I utterly enjoy! They began producing in ‘92 I believe, a whole four years before my birth, but oh well. It’s never too late, as they say. I hope you are having a wonderful day. I hope you can take in the surroundings about and around you and just breathe and feel at once at peace with everything in- and outside you. Bless. Much bless. Good vibes for this small eternity.

Be well,
